Dear Students,
Please consider this news post a formal notification that The Queen’s Journal Editor-in-Chief position elections process is currently underway. - Nomination Period: January 23 to January 29, 2025 @ 11:59 PM
- Campaigning Period Open: January 31st – February 9th, 2025 @ 11:59 PM
- QJ Election Debates: February 7th at 3:00 PM at Mack-Corry Hall, RM D216
- Voting Days: February 10-11**

*Please note that due to short notice, The Queen’s Journal Editors-in-Chief will offer an alternative information session for any candidate that has missed the initial meeting on January 22nd.
**Per The Queen’s Journal policy, “The Editor(s) in Chief shall be chosen through an election in the winter term of each year by members of The Queen’s Journal staff, as listed on the masthead, and students who have made five (5) or more forms of contribution to the current volume of the Queen’s Journal by the issue directly preceding the election. A submission classified as a contribution shall include photographs, written articles (excluding letters to the editors) and graphics, and presence at meetings of Journal Advisory Board as a student at large.”
We regret the short notice on the election period. The Office of the AMS Secretariat is working closely with The Queen’s Journal to ensure a proper notice is delivered via news updates, newsletters, and social media.
