The Menstrual Equity Grant aims to promote menstrual equity by providing financial support for initiatives, programs, events, and projects that increase
equitable access to menstrual products, reduce barriers associated with menstruation, and promote education and awareness related to menstrual health and equity within the Queen’s Community.

In order to be eligible for this grant, you must have the following requirements: 

1. Any student, student group, AMS ratified club, or faculty society undertaking work related to menstrual equity is eligible to apply.
2. Eligible groups/individuals may receive funding once per academic term.

Accessibility Grants support initiatives that reduce barriers and promote accessibility, inclusion, and equitable participation within the Queen’s community, particularly for students with disabilities. Funding may not be used for products or services already required by law or government regulation.

In order to be eligible for this grant, you must have the following requirements: 

1. Any student, student group, AMS ratified club, faculty society, or campus
   organization undertaking work related to accessibility is eligible to apply.
2. Eligible groups/individuals may receive funding once per academic term.

The StuCons Campus Safety Grant is administered by the AMS Student Constables (StuCons) and is intended to support student groups in delivering campus safety and/or harm reduction initiatives or events that benefit the Queen’s Community.

To be eligible for this grant, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. The applicant must be a student involved in the project or initiative in a managerial capacity.
2. Students, student groups, AMS-ratified clubs, faculty societies, and campus organizations undertaking work related to campus safety are eligible to apply.
3. The proposed initiative must demonstrate a benefit to the safety, well-being, and/or harm reduction needs of the Queen’s community.
4. The proposed initiative and related activities must be non-profit.

To be eligible for the Sustainable Action Grant:

• You must be a student involved in managing the project.
• Your project must directly address environmental sustainability on the Queen’s University campus, or address how on-campus activities affect sustainability off campus.
• Your project must have clearly defined, measurable, and quantifiable outcomes.
• Your project should include a publicity, education, or outreach component that engages students.
• Funding cannot be used for projects that Queen’s University is already required to fund under law or University policy.

The purpose of the Student Graduation Bursary is to make convocation more financially accessible for graduating AMS members. The bursary can partially or fully cover eligible convocation-related costs for students who may otherwise be unable to participate due to financial hardship.

To be eligible for this grant, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Applicants must be students graduating the year of the application and demonstrate financial need.

The International Student Bursary supports the financial accessibility of student life for undergraduate international students who are members of the AMS. The bursary provides financial assistance for student-life expenses that may be difficult to afford due to financial hardship and is not intended to cover major institutional costs, such as tuition or residence fees.

In order to be eligible for this grant, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be an international student and AMS member who has paid the AMS membership fee for the year of application.
• Be enrolled in at least a 60% course load (15 credits/3 courses or more) and be in good academic standing as defined by their program.
• Be currently residing in Kingston for their studies.

The Student Experience Bursary reduces financial barriers by subsidizing event fees for AMS members who would otherwise be unable to participate due to financial hardship. Eligible events include those run by AMS-ratified clubs, Faculty Societies or affiliated groups, and other events approved by the Campus Affairs Commissioner and Vice President of University Affairs.

Any student who is considered a member of the Alma Mater Society and who
has paid the AMS membership fee in the year of the application

The Walkhome Safe Travel Bursary is intended to reimburse students for reasonable travel expenses incurred when using Walkhome is not a safe or viable option. Eligible circumstances include, but are not limited to:

• Inclement weather
• Travel outside of Walkhome’s operating boundaries
• Travel outside of Walkhome’s hours of operation
• Walkhome being at capacity
• Accessibility or mobility needs that cannot be accommodated by existing Walkhome services

In order to be eligible for this grant, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be an AMS or SGPS member.
• Demonstrate circumstances that made a Walkhome request unsafe or impractical.
• The travel expense must relate to a single trip within Kingston or to/from the Kingston community. Recurring or commuting costs unrelated to safety circumstances are not eligible.
• Demonstrate financial need.

 This bursary aims to reduce financial barriers associated with non-tuition academic expenses by subsidizing course-related costs that students may otherwise be unable to afford due to financial hardship. Eligible expenses may include, but are not limited to,textbooks, lab equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE), mandatory field trips, and other required course materials. Funding may be provided to cover a portion or the full cost of eligible expenses

In order to be eligible for this grant, you must have the following requirements: 

• Applicants must be students enrolled in at least one course during the
  application period; and Demonstrate financial need.

The StuCons Bursary is administered by the AMS Student Constables (StuCons) and is intended to reduce financial barriers for student groups seeking to book StuCons security services for events. This bursary subsidizes, partially or in full, the cost of a student group’s StuCons booking fees. Funding is not issued as a direct cash disbursement. The value of a bursary shall be applied by StuCons as a credit towards the recipient’s booking invoice for StuCons security services.

In order to be eligible for this bursary, you must have the following requirements: 

• Applicants must be an AMS, SGPS or Faculty Society ratified student group or club with a registered bank account.
• Applicants must have an upcoming booking for StuCons services associated with an AMS sanctioned event.
• The group must demonstrate financial need

The Clubs Experience Grant is intended to continue to assist clubs in enriching student culture and experience on campus. This grant will only support events and/or projects that provide a positive benefit to members of the Queen’scommunity.

To be eligible for this grant, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. The club must be AMS-ratified or provisionally recognized. Clubs directly associated with registered political parties or external companies are not eligible, excluding Queen’s-affiliated charitable groups.
2. The club must have a registered bank account in the club’s name at the time of application. Provisionally recognized clubs must consult with the Clubs Commission regarding the disbursement of funds.
3. The club must have no outstanding mandatory requirements with the Clubs Commission, including previous grant reports, mandatory training, or the Clubs Census.

The New Clubs Grant provides initial financial support to newly AMS-ratified clubs to reduce start-up barriers and help establish their presence on campus. The grant is intended as supplementary assistance, with a maximum of $100 available per club.

To be eligible for the New Clubs Grant, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. The club must be newly AMS-ratified and affiliated with Queen’s University. Clubs directly associated with registered political parties or external companies are not eligible, excluding Queen’s-affiliated charitable groups.
2. The club must have a registered bank account in the club’s name or be in the process of opening one at the time of application. Before funding can be disbursed, the club must provide its banking information and an Electronic Transfer Form (ETF) to the Clubs Commission.
3. The club must have no outstanding mandatory requirements with the Clubs Commission, including previous grant reports, mandatory training, or the Clubs Census.

The Club’s Media and Promotion Bursary Program is intended to provide support to AMS ratified clubs who wish to increase their engagement and outreach through promotion andmedia. The bursary is designed to provide a flat rate amount of twenty dollars ($20) to clubs to help cover a ratified club’s marketing costs through an all-year application cycle.

In order to be eligible for this grant, you must have the following requirements: 

• The club must be an AMS ratified student club, exceptthose directly
  associated withregistered political partiesor external companies (not including Queen’s associated charitable groups).
• The club shall have a registered clubs bank account.
• The club must not have any outstanding mandatory items to be submitted to the
  Clubs Commission. This includes, but is not limited to, any previous grant reports,
  any mandatory training, and the Clubs Census.
• Clubs are only allowed to receive the bursary once per semester, and allowed to
  only apply twice per semester.
