J the Duck takes at the ARC: Come Grab a Free Tote!

I heard through the grapevine that there’s a new face around campus…. and he goes by J the Duck! You may have seen him lurking around the Queen’s PUB or resting in the office this year.

As the mascot of the JDUC, the name practically chose itself.  J the Duck.

Our cheeky little Duck is helping spread the word about AMS boothing this week, where students can stop by and learn more about what the AMS does and the resources available to them.

The AMS is essentially the student government at Queen’s University. We represent undergraduate students, advocate for your needs to the university, and run a ton of services and clubs on campus. The AMS also has lots of resources under the different commissions to help out students from housing to  healthcare to academic bursaries.  Everything from student jobs and leadership opportunities, to events, food spots, campus services, and club funding, that’s all under the AMS. We’re here to make sure your student experience is not just academic, but social, supportive, and actually fun.

If you ever have an idea to improve campus, want to get involved, or need support, the AMS is your starting point!

This Wednesday, March 11th from 3:30-5:30 PM, and Thursday March 12th from 3:30-5:30, you can find us boothing at the ARC, where we’ll be giving away free AMS tote bags featuring J the Duck himself! Stop by, grab a bag, and learn more about the AMS!
