Join Us For The CAGM and Assembly Meeting – Winter 2026

Each winter semester, in accordance with the AMS constitution and by-laws, students are invited to attend the Corporate Annual General Meeting (CAGM) and observe the work of the Assembly. The CAGM is the winter corporate meeting of the AMS Corporation where both voting and non-voting members of AMS Assembly are recognized as members of the corporation, with voting members eligible to vote. All AMS members (students who have paid the AMS fee) may also attend as observers. During the CAGM, approvals on general corporate business are conducted and updates across the AMS corporation and its Board of Directors are provided. Voting members of Assembly may also submit items to the corporation in accordance with the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA).

Following the CAGM, the regular meeting of AMS Assembly will take place. This meeting continues the Assembly’s regular governance work, including discussion and voting on motions on the agenda and updates regarding the society’s operations and governance bodies. It provides an opportunity for students to observe deliberations and learn more about the work of the AMS and its governing structures.

Location: Wallace Hall, John Deutsch University Centre, 2nd floor

Time: 4:00pm – 5:30pm is the Corporate Annual General Meeting & 5:30pm onward is the Regular Assembly Meeting
