Queen’s Student Housing Event

At QRIA, we understand the stress of sourcing a new place to live. It’s for this reason that we hold our annual first-year housing event. We encourage all students, most of whom are first-year students leaving residences, to attend this event and learn how to navigate the Kingston student housing market.

Each year, we invite property management companies such as Frontenac Property Management, Panadew Property Management, Highpoint Properties, Arnold Palmer Property Management, and more to speak to present currently available rental properties, walkthrough website navigation, and inform students on timelines and total properties under management. All firms distribute contact information, which students use to reach out regarding specific listings. Following presentations, students can network with the managers at firms and directly inquire about competitive properties.

Based on received feedback, this event is a great initiative for helping young Queen’s students from various programs understand house sourcing, and it takes a great deal of stress off of the students. This event’s delegate base has grown year-over-year with the help of our marketing team and word-of-mouth communication, proving a need for this service.
