Campus Cafes lead the way in sustainability

February 5th, 2020

Kingston, ON – Today, Common Ground Coffeehouse, The Brew, and The Tea Room launch HuskeeSwap on campus! The program allows individuals who own a Huskee cup to simply swap it for a clean one at any coffee shop across the world that participates in the program.

The Tea Room, QBACC, and the AMS will sponsor the first 150 HuskeeCups to enroll students into this lifelong, global program.

This is just another phase in a continuous student-driven effort to reduce the use of disposable cups and increase the use of reusable products.

We are proud to be leading the way by engaging in innovative ways to promote sustainability, and will continue to push vendors on campus, and in Kingston to end their use of disposables.

A huge thanks to Common Ground Coffeehouse, The Brew, The Tea Room, and QBACC for their continuous commitment to addressing the Climate Crisis in Kingston.
