Kingston, ON – Below are the results of the 2025 Winter Special Referendum.

The following table shows what percent of the vote’s turnout is required for a fee or candidate to pass.

2642 students voted, with a 13.0% voter turnout.

Do you agree to the continuation of the Bus-IT Fee (mandatory) for the next three years at $165 for 2025-26, $180 for 2026-27, and $195 for 2027-28. This fee was originally established prior to 1974, and last went to referendum in 2022.

· Yes – 2,200 (87.4%)

· No – 317 (12.6%)
