2023 AMS Elections Results

KINGSTON, ON – The AMS Elections team would like to thank all of those who participated and voted in the 2023 Winter Election season. As of 9:00pm February 7th, 2023, the polls for the AMS Executive Election and the Undergraduate Trustee election have concluded. AMS voter turnout was 17.0%. The results are as follows:
The AMS Elections Team would like to congratulate Team KMV for being elected as the 2023-2024 AMS Executive. We wish them the best in their upcoming term.
The AMS Elections team would also like to congratulate Reem Al-Rawi for being elected to the position of Undergraduate Trustee for a two-year term (2023-2025). We wish Reem the best in her upcoming term.
The ballot will be published later tonight and can be accessed on queensams.simplyvoting.com.
The AMS Secretary of Internal Affairs, Amir-Ali Golrokhian-Sani, has made the following statement: “After this year’s contested election, the Elections Team and I would like to congratulate Team KMV and Reem Al-Rawi. I’m very pleased with this year’s improved voter turnout and hope to see student engagement continue to rise. I look forward to seeing what they do in the future and wish them the best of luck.”
The AMS Executive made the following statement: “We congratulate Reem Al-Rawi and Team KMV on their successful election results tonight. We are excited to begin the transition process with the incoming team.”
