Don’t Miss Out: Update Your Photo & Preferred Name on Your New Student Card!

Queen’s University is upgrading to new tap-enabled student cards!

Do you hate your student card photo? Well, you are about to have danced your feet off!

Check your email, because the Office of the University Registrar, in collaboration with Housing and Ancillary Services, may identified that you require an upgraded student card through the Tap-Enabled Student Card Replacement Program.

The new tap-enabled card will replace your current student card, at no cost, and will continue to provide access to campus services.

Tap-Enabled Student Card Replacement Survey

Deadline: Feb. 12th

Completing the Tap-Enabled Student Card Replacement Survey is your chance to update your student card photo and add your preferred name. For the first time, students are no longer limited to using only their legal name on their student card. This means your new card can better reflect how you identify and how you want to be addressed on campus.

If you skip the survey, your card will be issued using the information currently on file, so don’t miss this opportunity to make changes before the deadline. The survey only takes a few minutes and ensures your new tap-enabled card is issued exactly the way you want it.

Please complete the short online survey by February 12, 2026, to indicate whether your current information is correct or requires changes.

The survey can be found here.

Note: The survey is hosted on the Housing and Ancillary Services Portal. You will need to log in with your NetID to access the form.
