We acknowledge that the Campus Affairs Commission is situated on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee Peoples in Katarokwi, colonial “Kingston.” It is our honour to acknowledge the land we study, work, play, and grow on. Through this acknowledgment, we acknowledge the land, the peoples of Turtle Island, and their connection to this land. We invite everyone to reflect on their benefit and positionality on this land to move toward tangible action and reconciliation. Our words have power, and silence is complacency; let us truly recognize our privilege and honour this land, its history, and its people through all our actions.

The Campus Affairs Commission supports student life by overseeing event approval, promoting safe and inclusive programming, and advocating for international student affairs. It serves as a liaison between students and the University, ensuring events are policy-compliant and reflective of current student needs.
AMS Events Planning and Approvals:
The Commission offers support for students with events planning and approval through the AMS Event Sanctioning process. We also run events throughout the year for all students.
The AMS International Affairs Office oversees the International Student Mentorship Program, hosts events, and provides resources to support and engage international students at Queen’s.
