Here at Queen’s, inclusivity is a priority, and we strive to instill a strong sense of belonging for each and every student. An important step in achieving this is ensuring there is a place and space for all.
Room For All: Features Designed For You
On our campus, we have many features that are designed to include and appreciate the diverse range of cultures and meet the needs of each member of our community here at Queen’s. Let’s break it down…
Our faith and spirituality spaces provide a setting that is free of judgement, and supportive of all spiritual and religious beliefs, and are welcoming of all conversations and questions you may have about the topic. We have several spaces located all around campus (see below). If you have any questions or would just like to have a conversation on the topic of faith and spirituality, you can send our Chaplain’s, Erin Burns and Heidi De Jonge, an email at , make an appointment online, or you can stop by their office!

- Ablution Stations and Facilities: Mitchell Hall (2nd floor washrooms), School of Medicine (lower level washrooms), JDUC (3rd floor washrooms)
Accessibility, gender inclusivity, and safety are key aspects in an inclusive campus, and here at Queen’s we have many accessibility features to ensure equity in everyday campus life. These include…
- Accessible entrances: All around campus
- Indoor routes (interior bridge connecting Mackintosh-Corry Hall, Robert Sutherland Hall, and the Law Building)
- Single-user accessible washrooms: All around campus
- Accessible entrances with prior arrangements: Carruthers Hall
- Gender inclusive washrooms: All around campus
- Emergency blue lights: All around campus (that blue lamp post you see all over campus, that’s what it’s for!)
In support of our younger parents here on campus, we also have amenities such as baby changing stations, located in several buildings all around campus, and breastfeeding rooms, located in the Cataraqui Building and Ban Righ Centre.
