Orientation 2025: Huge Thank You to The AMS Marketing Team

It’s the first couple weeks of school. Campus is buzzing, music is playing, and thousands of students are out and about. You’re scrolling through your camera roll. Orientation, Tricolour Parade, your phone is packed with blurry shots and shaky videos. Cute, but not exactly Instagram-worthy. Then you see the photo, the one that perfectly captures the energy, the colour, the joy of the moment.
You didn’t take it.
That’s because our Director of Marketing did.
From the second Orientation kicked off, Nathan Zhe (the Director of Marketing 2025/26) and his team were everywhere. At Welcome Home Night, where campus partners came together to welcome students back, and of course, he was right there documenting every moment. Then came the Tricolour Parade, one of the most iconic Queen’s traditions. From Tindall Field all the way to Richardson Stadium, faces painted and chants echoing through the streets, his lens captured it all.

He didn’t stop there. The Stadium Welcome had the stands roaring, the Orientation Football Game lit up Richardson with cheers and community spirit, and at the Tricolour Open House, he photographed 300+ AMS clubs buzzing with ideas and energy.
And when he’s not capturing events, he’s repping AMS. Boothing, cheering, and filling your feeds with photos of smiling faces. You might’ve seen him boothing at Sidewalk Sale, where AMS commissioners, dunk tanks, and generous donations made for one of the best days of the year.

Or maybe you spotted him at the Princess Street Promenade, sharing AMS spirit with the whole downtown Kingston community. He was also snapping highlights at ThunderMugz with EngSoc, the Smith Godfather Gala, the Nursing Orientation Cruise, ASUS Coverall painting in City Park, Headphone Disco, Neon Night, Glow Bash, and so many more.

Basically… if you were there, the Marketing Office was too.
And while he was running from event to event, he was also creating the orientation material you’ve definitely seen around. From the Orientation Handbook, to AMS pamphlets, to the Clubs Directory Cards that found their way into every student’s hands.
Not all heroes wear capes, sometimes they run around with cameras swinging around their necks, turning fleeting moments into memories that last. Scrolling through your feeds after Orientation Week, one thing’s for sure: if there was an event, our Marketing Team was there. Cameras in hand, sprinting across campus, capturing the best smiles, the loudest cheers, and the most unforgettable moments.
