SUMMARY:Distributive Presents: compute.for
DESCRIPTION:Distributive Compute Protocol is partnering with COMPSA for a two week coding contest. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with some of the technology and programs created by Distributive to create their own engaging projects with the aim of demonstrating the capabilities of this technology. Participants will have the chance to network and receive advice/feedback from professionals\, and the opportunity to work in the Distributive offices during business hours (9-5). On the final day\, participants will present their projects to their peers and a judging panel\, and the winners will receive cash prizes. Select projects may also be used to promote Distributive and featured on their website or presentations\, with appropriate credit attributed to the creator(s). Teams of 1-4 may enter.

SUMMARY:CIRQUE Conference
DESCRIPTION:CIRQUE is a student-run conference that aims to show Queen’s Engineering students the versatility of career and post-graduation paths that an engineering degree provide. The conference is two days in length and provides industry professionals with a place to present their organization and the opportunities available to engineering students’ post-graduation. The conference also provides delegates with interactive and engaging workshops run by conference sponsors and networking events. Some of the industries that have historically been involved in the conference are consulting\, research and design\, entrepreneurship\, medicine\, finance\, and law. The organized direct interaction with leaders in some of these industries aims to provide engineering students with exposure and connections in industries they may not typically be aware are available to them.
