Welcome to The Used Bookstore (formerly Greenroom)! We keep the green in your pocket by helping you save money, and more green in the environment by reusing books!

The UBS is the used book store on campus, and is run entirely by students to help students save money. Textbooks are expensive, but they don't have to be - we can help you save money through CONSIGNMENT, and by BUYING and SELLING used textbooks. Go green by saving money, and also by helping the environment through reusing books.

We also sell a wide range of inexpensive school supplies, computer accessories, study guides, refernce books and general interest books - everything you need for school. The Used Bookstore also sells courseware, so you can get your textbooks and your P&CC courseware all in one store. We also sell Trashbooks - notebooks made of reused paper from the P&CC.

So what is consignment anyway?

Consignment basically means that we sell your textbooks for you. We accept current textbooks, and you get to set the price for that book, (as long as it's below retail) and then we put it on the shelf. When your book sells, you get 75% of the price, and we can put the money directly onto your debit card. Your consignment lasts for a year, and you can always cancel your consignment or change the price of your book at any time.

Unfortunately, you can no longer check if your account online, so come in to our store and one of our friendly staff will be pleased to update you on the status of your books.

Why consign with us?

Consignment at the Used Bookstore is hassle-free. You don't have to negotiate prices with people, make posters to advertise your books or arrange to meet someone and hope that they have exact change. All you do is drop off your books here and let us do the work of selling them for you. Consignment also allows you to make MORE money than by selling your book to the Campus Bookstore.

Starting in the fall, you will also have the option of SELLING your book to us. This means we'll give you cash, on the spot, for your book IF it's being used here or at another school in North America.
