P&CC
Blue and Yellow are the P&CC’s official colours. Blue and Yellow mix to make green…coincidence?
Yes….but with all of their environmentally friendly services and initiatives it’s really hard to believe…
- Ink Jet Refills and Recycling
- Transparency Recycling
- 100% Post Consumer Recycled paper (in letter size) in the self serve area
- 100% Recycled paper used in all Courseware packages
- Single sided paper recycled into Trashbooks
- FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) paper distributor and product lines used
- Bag Box (P&CC does not buy bags, but instead reuses old bags…one of the 3 Rs)
- New Staple-less Staplers (for stapling small amounts of paper)
The AMS IT Office
The IT Office has donated old systems and part to ‘Computers for a Cause’, a COMPSA charity initiative. The computers can be refurbished and distributed to school aged children whose families can’t afford a computer. In the past they have just thrown these out.
The AMS Merchandise Service (TAMS)
The Greenroom currently sells trashbooks and courseware packages made on 100% post-consumer recycled paper.
The AMS Pub Services (TAPS)
Ever since Ontario began to accept liquor bottles, TAPS has been recycling them! The Liquor store picks up all liquor and wine bottles!
Battery Box
-the AMS now has a battery box and recycles batteries…if you would like to recycle your batteries, please bring them to Room 020 in the JDUC (just off the lower Caleigh)
Mixed Paper Recycling
-most people do not know what mixed paper is exactly…on the Mixed Paper Recycling Bins in the JDUC, there are signs telling you what can or cannot recycle
