Outwrite! A Queer Review

Outwrite is Queen's first queer publication. It was created in order to give all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transidentified and allied individuals a creative outlet to voice their diverse life experiences. By making these stories known, members of the community who know little or nothing about queer issues can educate themselves and a more understanding and accepting environment can be fostered.

All submissions are welcome, from queer people as well as allies.

Queen's Feminist Review (QFR)

The Queen's Feminist Review strives to represent the diversity of feminist experience through poetry, prose, and visual art. Its continuing mission is to provide a viable forum for feminist expression within the Queen's and Kingston communities.

All submissions are welcome, from both men and women.

CultureShock: An Anti-Racist Review

cultureSHOCK is an anti-racist publication which strives to provide a forum in the Queen’s and Kingston community for artistic expression for those who have been historically and currently marginalized. cultureSHOCK seeks to re-power those who have been rendered voiceless and feel invisible in Kingston. cultureSHOCK is working to create a space which allows people to uncover, and show who they are: their pain, joy, frustration, anger, and lifestyle. cultureSHOCK’s goal is to expand the singular notion of culture to include those who feel like their existence is an impossibility here at Queen’s in the ‘culture of whiteness’. cultureSHOCK does nothing less than to acknowledge that the freedom for visible minorities and minorities in thought, is bound up with those who deny them. cultureSHOCK is working hard for change.
