My name is Jeff Brown and I am excited for what the Social Issues Commission can do for the 2007-2008 school year. I am in fourth year Religious Studies and have had a busy three years at Queen's working for a variety of student services, helping organize Arts and Science Orientation Week, and working on  the committee formally known as the Women's Issues Committee (now the Gender and Women's Issue Committee). 

Along with continuing with the successful programs that ran last year, the SIC is going to evolve into a stronger voice for students at the university administration level and will work hard to not only educate the student body on social issues but also work to make Queen's a more inclusive and equitable environment for all students.
