Event
Sanctioning & Booking Procedures
If your
faculty, club or group is planning to hold an event that involves students of
the AMS, you must:
- Complete
an Event Sanctioning Form (Available Below)
- Submit
it to the QSC office at least 3 weeks in advance of your event
Sanctioning
your event is not only required by the AMS constitution, but it removes you
from personal liability and ensures that you will not be prosecuted for any
possible incidents that are out of your control. You will receive notification
of whether or not your event has been sanctioned, as well as informed of how
many Constables have been assigned to attend it, when they arrive and work
until, and what their specific duties will be.
The
charge-out rate for each Student Constable assigned to an event is $10.75 per
hour, reflecting our status as a not-for-profit service. This rate covers the
wage of Student Constables and operational costs of the service, such as our
required shift supplies.
