Queen's Mourns the Loss of a Student

October 11, 2011

The Alma Mater Society regrets to inform its members of a loss of one of our own.

Third year Computer Science student Allison Borges died this past Sunday, October 9 in her Kingston home due to a previously unknown medical condition. We send our deepest sympathies to Allison’s family, friends, classmates, and all those affected by this tragic loss.

Arrangements have been made for memorial services at Ward Funeral Home in Oakville on October 12th and October 13th. Flags have been lowered on campus and AMS Assembly will observe a moment of silence in Allison’s memory this Thursday. Friends are collecting memories and photos for scrapbook via Facebook, anyone wishing to contribute may do so here: In Loving Memory of Allison J Borges
