Kingston has many seniors with diverse needs and fascinating life stories, so this committee presents a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community while simultaneously rewarding oneself. The committee provides opportunities for Queen’s students to volunteer with elderly members of the Kingston community in a variety of capacities.

For example, this committee hosts an annual Silver Bells Christmas Dinner and carol sing for local seniors that has been so successful it has been recently expanded.

Other events run by this Committee include the

• Autumn Leaves Service (raking leaves)
• Snow Angels (winter snow-shovelling program)
• Afternoon Teas

We are always looking for more volunteers and committee members, so come out and give us a hand in a very worthy and fun endeavour!
