Our club is devoted to working for the implementation of a Gender Studies course in Ontario Secondary schools; educating and supporting high school students on issues of equity in education, respect for diversity, and critical thinking; advocating the ongoing improvement of publicly funded education; acting as a resource for information pertaining to gender studies and the prevention of sexism, homophobia, classism, and racism; organizing workshops and lectures for students and adults in the Kingston community the further the goals of the club; creating lesson plans, activities, and curriculum outlines for a Gender Studies course; and raising funds for the parent organization, the Miss G____ Project.
