The President and CEO oversees all aspects of the society and is the principal advocate for students to bodies outside the AMS. As the leader of the student government, the President is primarily responsible for representing the Queen’s University undergraduate student body to the administration, as well as all levels of government. In addition to overseeing the AMS Communications Office, the President essentially has a hand in all matters of the society.

The Vice-President (Operations) is responsible for all matters related to the operations and finances of the society. Responsible for AMS Service and AMS Assembly budgets, the VP (Operations) oversees the three services directors, the Advancement and Development Officer, the Information Technology Officer, and the Sustainability Coordinator. Other duties include supervision of the Health & Dental Plan and the Bus-It program. The VP (Operations) also represents students on a wide variety of Board of Trustee and University committees including, Campus Planning and Development, Capital Planning Committee, and the John Deutsch University Centre Council. This year, the VP-Ops will also oversee the portfolios of the AMS media services: CFRC, Studio Q, and The Journal.

The Vice-President (University Affairs) is responsible for all matters related to student life and representation. Overseeing the five Commissions, the Student Centre Office, and the Human Resources Office, the VP (UA) works to ensure that Queen’s offers a safe, accessible, and enjoyable experience for all students.
