The AMS and Kingston Transit have had a partnership for many years and have negotiated and provided an unlimited ride pass for all full-time Queen’s students. Students pay the mandatory Bus-It fee every year that allows them to use all of Kingston Transit’s bus routes for the entire academic year beginning September until August. For access to the transit system, students need only show proof of current full-time attendance at Queen’s, done so by showing your student card with the current AMS or SGPS full-time sticker for that given year.
The most popular and common bus routes used by students are the West Campus - Main Campus bus (#17), and the Student Circuit (#18) which is an evening bus that travels from Campus, through the Student Village and around Downtown to points of interest (i.e. the LCBO, Food Basics, etc.).The Kingston Transit system can also take you to Norman Rogers Airport, the Rio Can Centre, the Kingston Centre, RMC/Fort Henry, Cataraqui Mall, VIA Train Station and the Coach Canada Bus Terminal.
Summer Service: Please note that if you were a student in the fall-winter term of 2007-2008 then you are still able to ride the bus for free and do not need to obtain a new sticker. Spring/Summer '08 student stickers are also valid.
