AMS Special Projects Grants are available! |

If you are looking to fund a student initiative or event, consider applying for the AMS Special Projects Grant. Projects must demonstrate a genuine benefit to the Queen’s and Kingston communities, and funding is providing as a one-time, non-recurring grant. Applications are available by clicking here and at the AMS front desk.

Do you want to learn Arabic? |
|
In September 2008, join the first class to learn Arabic at Queen’s University. Arabic is a world language. Modern Standard Arabic is the official language of countries across North Africa from Morocco to Somalia and within Southwest Asia from Palestine to Iraq and the Arab Emirates of the Gulf. Arabic is the language of prayer for Muslims who comprise the world's second largest religious community. Knowledge of Arabic will prepare students for careers in the these regions as well as for graduate programs in religion, social sciences, history, literary and cultural studies.

The MAC can help with your house hunt by giving you advice on what to look for in a house, what to think about when choosing housemates, or how to deal with potential landlords. Kaitlyn Young, the MAC Commissioner, can go over your lease with you, pointing out any specific clauses you should be wary of. The MAC also operates the Student Property Assessment Team (or SPAT) – a group of city trained property inspectors who can help you check the property standards of a potential house.
