Mandate:

  1. addressing high level concerns relating to any services and/or service managers.
  2. updating various policies and the job descriptions of the service managers/editors.
  3. review remuneration framework and specific wage/salary rates.
  4. serve as an advisory, consulting group for the operational aspects of the Services/Publications.

Additional Information:

The Management Committee is intended to be an advisory, as opposed to a decision-making body. However, under extenuating circumstances, the Board may grant decision-making powers to the committee.

Management from the Services/Publications may be invited to committee meetings during which their specific service/publication is on the agenda for discussion.

2007-01-09 = Management Committee is in the midst of preparing a comprehensive review of all AMS Management positions and the AMS Salary Grid among other things.

2007-01-29 = The Management Committee report is currently being reviewed by the Board and will be coming for approval at the next meeting on Feb 1st.

2007-02-01 = The Management Committee Report was passed unanimously at Board today.  The Report and the new Job descriptions can be found on the Reports Page.
