AMS Elections and Referenda

AMS Fall Referendum:
The AMS Fall Referendum provides a key opportunity for AMS Members to submit a plebiscite or fee-related question to address Student Activity Fee allocations. Groups wishing to be put on the student fee slate may go through the referenda process in order to receive a fee.

The mandatory All-Candidate’s Meeting will be held on October 9th, 2014 from 5:30 to 6:30 in Sutherland Hall of the JDUC. This meeting will cover all relevant AMS elections, referenda and student fee policy, deadlines and requirements for participation and eligibility of groups.

Validation period is October 12-15th. The validation packages can be found here. Please submit the validation package both by email to and in hard copy to the society office no later than 5:00PM on October 15th.

Once validated, groups will be eligible to participate in the nomination period which runs from October 19th – October 29th.  Campaigning will take place October 30th – November 10th. Voting will be held on November 11th and 12th.
